My wife Katie and I approached participating in the Showcase 2010 with real trepidation. In our mid-60's and in the modeling business for less than thirty days, our  anxiety turned to near panic when we saw the rehearsal of some of the kids. Katelynn, Kody, Marvin were seasoned pros! You mean to tell us that there will be agents from Hollywood, Ford Modeling Agency, John Travolta's double, and the top agencies in Florida? Are you kidding us? What were we doing here? But Sheila prevailed and we decided to jump in. 

The event was more than a pleasant surprise. As newcomers, we knew absolutely nothing and our expectations were dead wrong. We expected 

to run into a bunch of arrogant, shallow entertainment types surrounded by spoiled kids. What a shock to meet the people that attended. The agent were down to earth, friendly and willing to answer all our dumb questions. More surprising was to see the solid, wholesome kids supported by parents and agents alike. When the Hollywood types encouraged the kids to stay in school, get good grades and listen to their parents when it comes to contracts, etc. all of our unfounded stereotypes were instantly changed. 

We want to thank Sheila, Don, Katelynn and Cara for providing us with a richly rewarding life experience!

Thanks for having us down. We always enjoy our trip down there and enjoying getting to see you guys. We think what you do is awesome and we also think you are doing it for the right reasons. It sets a wonderful example for all your kids.

We as Grandparents and parents just wanted to let you know what a wonderful showcase you presented in October. 

Great choice of hotel and great restaurant which was very convenient for our families. We enjoyed all the great entertainment with your group and your guest performers. The children were so excited when they arrived to be welcomed so warmly. We were impressed by the warm reception from you and your staff and family. You have some amazing talent and we could really feel and see your sincerity with each and every person involved with the showcase. We would also like to say that your dance choreographer did a fantastic job with all the dance numbers. She is very talented. I know you are proud of her. We were very impressed that parents/grandparents were allowed to see the agents at interview. This is important to parents to hear the information first hand. 

On a score of 1 - 10, we certainly give your showcase a 10! The kids love and respect you and we could see they feel very very comfortable around all of you.

We wish you the best with your future showcases and hopefully we can be involved again.

To Ms. Sheila and staff,

Thank you so much for having us down for the showcase. We met so many great people while we were there and really enjoyed ourselves. The poster you did for us was a great surprise and we absolutely loved it. Getting to sing in the floor show with everybody was definitely one of the highlights of our weekend and we appreciate everybody being so welcoming. 

Once again THANKS for everything it was a great showcase and a great opportunity for DOUBLETAKE.

Reagan gained the experience of being on stage with an enthusiastic audience. All the talent was very gracious and supportive of one another which is a reflection of the training they receive through Ocala Models and Talent. The atmosphere of Showcase was professional and the talent agencies were informative. We learned about current trends in the industry, how to hone performance and interview skills, and how to build an impressive resume.
